10 Most Fascinating People of 2005
So Tuesday night Barbara Walters aired her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005 list. What on earth was she thinking.
Terri Hatcher - Only claim to fame is being on a TV show known for casual sex and extra marital affairs. Not Fascinating.
Tom Cruise - I love Tom Cruise... But HELLO HE'S CRAZY! Not to mention the fact that he got a girl half his age pregnant with no plans to marry her in the near future... Maybe next summer or fall. Whenever, it doesn't matter that his baby is going to be born out of wedlock. They'll get married when it's convenient for him. Whatever happened to rushing to the Justice of the Peace as soon as you knew you were pregnant so no one would know you were having pre-marital sex?
Lance Armstrong - Yes, Lance is a Cancer survivor that won the Tour de France more times then anyone else. But after winning it four times his wife decided that they had enough money and he had enough fame and it was time for him to be a father to their children. He didn't feel the same way so they divorced. I can't find a man "fascinating" that can't take care of his own family.
Dakota Fanning - While cute I'm not sure she's fascinating. I guess for she is remarkably grown up for her age. She always seems to smile and talks intelligently in interviews. I like her and think she's a great actress, but I just hope she doesn't come up with the Drew Barrymore syndrome.
Kanye West - The only thing that separates Kanye West from the other 5000 rappers around, his dad was a Black Panther and he makes stupid comments on national TV. I mean, what has Kanye done that was fascinating? Other then being a high school drop out who is a racist?
Jaime Foxx - I agree with Jaime Foxx being on this list. He's very talented. He's succeeding in Movies, Music, and Comedy.
Thomas Mesereau - Don't really know a lot about him except he was the defense attorney for Michael Jackson. He's done a lot for civil rights. So I guess he could be fascinating.
Beth Hollaway Twitty - I think she is one of the truly fascinating people this year. How much strength and determination did it take to keep her daughters disappearance in the national news for so long. Although, I do think she is a bit selfish. On the show she said her biggest wish is that her daughter isn't dead, she's just being held and raped. A lot was said about her daughter being a Strong Christian. If that's true, how selfish is it that she want her daughter alive in hell then in Heaven?
Condoleezza Rice - Most powerful black woman in the world... Nuf said.
and to top off the list...
Camilla Parker Bowles - Her only claim to fame is a 30 year affair with a married man... While she was married. That's just what I consider fascinating.... a slut. Yeah, I said it. Someone who would cheat on her husband, and break up a marriage is just that. Sorry if it offends you.
So what happened to the real fascinating people... Like 10 year old Tilly Smith. She saved a hundred lives on the beach in Thailand. She says that she recognized the signs from a geography class. To read more about her go here --> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/4405336.stm <-- There's also a video of her. That's what I call fascinating.
Or any of the hundreds of police and fire rescue crews that save lives every day. What about the Soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan fighting to make the world a better place. No, it's much more important that you are either angery, immorral or both.
Your thoughts?

I don't know most of the people on the list but I can tell you I almost never agree with Barbara Walters so it doesn't surprise me that you were not thrilled with her choices.
