Random Thoughts

Well, It's been a long time since I posted and I promise to do a "life update" post, (where you get to learn all the gory details of my life) but tonight I have been thinking a lot. I wonder sometimes about how funny life can be. Sat. was my moms birthday and we had a party for her (more on this another day) after I got home my phone rings and it's my junior prom date. Now, for those of you that knew me then, you probably went to prom with me and remember this farce of a date. For those that don't, the cliff notes version is that my date got high, ignored me half the night, and got another girls phone number right in front of me before we left. Now, he was a good friend of my older sisters so I tried not to be to harsh... but COME ON! So, Sat night he calls me up. He's in England (Air Force I think)and is going to get married. Apparently he and my sister got into some kind of argument or something... I don't know, but he wasn't sure she would want to talk to him so he called me to let her know and tell her he wanted her to come.

I tell you all of this to get to the point of what I've been thinking about, I've been thinking lately that I really wish I was with someone. I want to be a mom and can't do that without someone, I guess at almost 27 my biological clock is ticking. It's almost sad sometimes how bad I don't want to be alone. (95 percent of the time I am perfectly happy with my life... but the other 5, this is what I am upset about) I have great friends who I don't see enough of but sometimes I wish I had more. Then I get a call from an old prom date. And things suddenly go back into perspective.

My junior prom sucked... The only good thing about it is a great story to tell at parties when people start talking about high school. And I had a date, I didn't go alone. Now, my senior prom I went by myself with a group of friends. (A good friend bought me a corsage even though he had another date... That was sweet) I really enjoyed my senior prom. It was 200 times as much fun as my Junior one. (Jules, wasn't that the night, or morning rather, that Chris and I started the sugar eating contest? LOL... GOOD TIMES! I miss Chris) So, now I'm thinking that maybe being with someone isn't always the best place to be. Maybe being with friends can be even more fun. Who knows... Lots to think about huh.

Sorry Sara if you ever read this..I liked you a lot really I did!! LOL. Wendi are you going to delete this?? Who came up with that group anyway?? Why would I go to prom with my exboyfriend and another guy I had a major crush on and his date??? LOL Anyways, the fun part was being with friends both times...so you might be right maybe being with friends is better.
