You can be convicted of using weapons of mass distruction, and well, that's ok. You can say that you enjoyed seeing the families of the victoms cry on the stand and wish you could be a part of having 9/11 every day, and gee, we'll pay for your food, rent, entertainment, education, T.V, phone and internet for the rest of your life. Ok, why do I even work? Why do I do what's right? What's the incentive for not killing thousands and thousands of americans? Now, all the terrorists will gladly attack us becuase gosh,they aren't going to have to pay. As far as they know we are weak. Great! I guess since he was willing to fly one of the planes he doesn't mind dieing, but I don't want to support him. I don't want my tax dollars making sure he lives. I would rather he get exactly what he wanted... DEATH. Sure, prison isn't great, and he'll probably have to be in solitary for the rest of his life, and hopefully he will be miserable there. How can we have such weak people in our country, they don't want to force people to be responsible. They don't want the backlash of their decision. I am completely fed up with the left in this county. How can they allow this man to live? If he doesn't deserve to die we might as well get rid of the death penalty because it'll be very hard to commit worse crimes then that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And to end I must say I actually agree with Zacarias Moussaoui on something, as he left the courtroom he clapped his hands and said "America you lost" He's right. Hopefully I can fix that.  Right now the things that are going on in my life are Cool books, Politics and Rock Stars.   You never thought those things would go together huh?  I am reading some great books right now.  It's a series of books by Neesa Hart.  They are based on the Left Behind books with characters you will know.  All of the major political players, like Nicolae Carpathia, are included.   The differance is that while the LB books are more global, these books are more local to the US and Washington DC particularly.  If you like the Left Behind series you will love these. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, reading these books has got me thinking about the current state of American politics.  Those that know me know I love President Bush and I love that he is putting very vocal Christians in top positions at the White House.  But, what would happen if the Rapture happened today?  What would the political situation look like here in the US with most of the top officials gone?  Just another reason that I am glad that I won't be around to see that.   And it does give you something to think about huh? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, on to Rock Stars... doesn't really fit in with this blog but I wanted to brag that I got to see Switchfoot on Friday. I am reading a book by Terri Blackstock called Word of Honor.  (She is AWESOME and I TOTALLY recommend this series to everyone.)  One of the characters in it is kind of having a personal spiritual crisis.  It's about Convenants and our Covenant with Jesus.  This got me thinking aobut my covenant with Jesus, and what it means.  So I deciced that when I get a chance, I'll do a study on covenents in the Bible.   Now, If you read Julies blog too, then you know she talked about Elisabeth George and her letter that she wrote.  She called it her covenant with God.  I just read it a few mins ago.  It's like God was throwing bricks at my head telling me to wake up.   Did you notice how I wrote that "When I get a chance I'll study on covenants" HELLO!!!  I'll see if I can make time for God in my busy life.  WHAT A MORON I AM.   So after reading Julies blog I realized that maybe God doesn't want me to work Him into my life... maybe He wants me to work my life around Him.  So now I am really really excited to get home to my Bible. (Why did I stop bringing it to work with me?) Ok, that could be the understatement of the year. She has never ever, not even once showed anything but a liberal bias in everyone of her shows. If someone can find one quote to prove me wrong, please do. So needless to say I was a little concerned when I heard she was doing a special on Heaven. And good old Barby didn't let me down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One thing I laughed out loud at was the only two people she showed as having a "purist" view on Heaven, i.e. if you didn't believe what they thought then you were not going to Heaven, was the Islamic Terrorist and the evangelical Christian. The parallel couldn't have been drawn any clearer if she had come out and said "Christians and Terrorists both close minded religions and should both be abolished." She was clearly showing that Christians were just as bad as the radical Muslims because we both condemn non-believers to hell. Well, yeah, but we don't generally help 3000 of them get there in one day like they do. But, one thing that she couldn't change was the look on the face of Ted Haggard when he is answering the question of whether non-Christians are going to Heaven. You can see a clear look of compassion on his face. I have yet to see the same concern on any Islamic Terrorists face.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In Ladies Home Journal she says that""There were things that . . . Amused me like the whole business of the 72 virgins who are created for men." Ok... Barby is "amused" by the Islomoterrorist that kill people. Yeah, I can see how that would be "amusing" Oh, wait... I was thinking of tragic not amusing... My bad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barby then makes the false comparison of Christianity as a sexless religion to the 72 virgins in heaven for Islam. Huh? She seems to forget that there's that little step of mass murder before Heaven. "And in the Christian religion, the idea is to have a pure life that's happy and content without sex. According to Islam expert Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, sex for Muslims is part of the joy of heaven." Ok, now I am no expert on Christian sex, but I think most of my married friends would disagree with the idea that to be a good Christian you have to live a contented life without sex. What was that part of the Bible about be fruitful and multiply... Oh wait.. We should be cloned to multiply right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, needless to say, I was not happy with the show, nor was I surprised. What on earth was she thinking.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Terri Hatcher - Only claim to fame is being on a TV show known for casual sex and extra marital affairs. Not Fascinating.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tom Cruise - I love Tom Cruise... But HELLO HE'S CRAZY! Not to mention the fact that he got a girl half his age pregnant with no plans to marry her in the near future... Maybe next summer or fall. Whenever, it doesn't matter that his baby is going to be born out of wedlock. They'll get married when it's convenient for him. Whatever happened to rushing to the Justice of the Peace as soon as you knew you were pregnant so no one would know you were having pre-marital sex?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lance Armstrong - Yes, Lance is a Cancer survivor that won the Tour de France more times then anyone else. But after winning it four times his wife decided that they had enough money and he had enough fame and it was time for him to be a father to their children. He didn't feel the same way so they divorced. I can't find a man "fascinating" that can't take care of his own family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dakota Fanning - While cute I'm not sure she's fascinating. I guess for she is remarkably grown up for her age. She always seems to smile and talks intelligently in interviews. I like her and think she's a great actress, but I just hope she doesn't come up with the Drew Barrymore syndrome.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kanye West - The only thing that separates Kanye West from the other 5000 rappers around, his dad was a Black Panther and he makes stupid comments on national TV. I mean, what has Kanye done that was fascinating? Other then being a high school drop out who is a racist?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jaime Foxx - I agree with Jaime Foxx being on this list. He's very talented. He's succeeding in Movies, Music, and Comedy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thomas Mesereau - Don't really know a lot about him except he was the defense attorney for Michael Jackson. He's done a lot for civil rights. So I guess he could be fascinating.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Beth Hollaway Twitty - I think she is one of the truly fascinating people this year. How much strength and determination did it take to keep her daughters disappearance in the national news for so long. Although, I do think she is a bit selfish. On the show she said her biggest wish is that her daughter isn't dead, she's just being held and raped. A lot was said about her daughter being a Strong Christian. If that's true, how selfish is it that she want her daughter alive in hell then in Heaven?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Condoleezza Rice - Most powerful black woman in the world... Nuf said.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;and to top off the list...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Camilla Parker Bowles - Her only claim to fame is a 30 year affair with a married man... While she was married. That's just what I consider fascinating.... a slut. Yeah, I said it. Someone who would cheat on her husband, and break up a marriage is just that. Sorry if it offends you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what happened to the real fascinating people... Like 10 year old Tilly Smith. She saved a hundred lives on the beach in Thailand. She says that she recognized the signs from a geography class. I wonder sometimes about how funny life can be. Sat. was my moms birthday and we had a party for her (more on this another day) after I got home my phone rings and it's my junior prom date. Now, for those of you that knew me then, you probably went to prom with me and remember this farce of a date. For those that don't, the cliff notes version is that my date got high, ignored me half the night, and got another girls phone number right in front of me before we left. Now, he was a good friend of my older sisters so I tried not to be to harsh... but COME ON! So, Sat night he calls me up. He's in England (Air Force I think)and is going to get married. Apparently he and my sister got into some kind of argument or something... I don't know, but he wasn't sure she would want to talk to him so he called me to let her know and tell her he wanted her to come.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I tell you all of this to get to the point of what I've been thinking about, I've been thinking lately that I really wish I was with someone. I want to be a mom and can't do that without someone, I guess at almost 27 my biological clock is ticking. It's almost sad sometimes how bad I don't want to be alone. (95 percent of the time I am perfectly happy with my life... but the other 5, this is what I am upset about) I have great friends who I don't see enough of but sometimes I wish I had more. Then I get a call from an old prom date. And things suddenly go back into perspective.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My junior prom sucked... The only good thing about it is a great story to tell at parties when people start talking about high school. And I had a date, I didn't go alone. Now, my senior prom I went by myself with a group of friends. (A good friend bought me a corsage even though he had another date... That was sweet) I really enjoyed my senior prom. It was 200 times as much fun as my Junior one. (Jules, wasn't that the night, or morning rather, that Chris and I started the sugar eating contest? LOL... GOOD TIMES! I miss Chris) So, now I'm thinking that maybe being with someone isn't always the best place to be. Maybe being with friends can be even more fun. Who knows... When I mentioned to my boss that I may have to quit he said, to please think about it and if I wanted to he could cut back my hours, he would much rather cut me back, then cut me out. It made me feel good that he wanted me to stay around. Then I talked to my mom and she said that it's not like I get to bed at a decent hour when I don't work. I mean, I am never in bed before 2 or 3 and most times it's around 4 before I get there. So, I have decided that I am going to work on getting more sleep all around, I am going to try some vitamins that are supposed to help you calm your mind from thinking late at night and maybe talk to a doctor if this doesn't work. I may also give up Sunday Nights as I get off at 530 then have to be at work at 11 the next morning so by time I drive home for 30 mins, then let my dog out, get ready for bed, it's 630ish. Then I have to be up at 930 to be to work by 11. I love my life right now. I love my jobs. I have an amazing time at both. Unfortunately working 60 hours a week is beginning to wear on me. I have recently been making more and more mistakes at work. Nothing major, just a lot of little things. In the last couple of weeks, the degree of bad has been accelerating and I have been at a loss to figure out why I am making stupid mistakes. Then, last week, I made one of the most costly mistakes I have ever made. I mean a HUGE mistake. We had a company that was deciding if they wanted to sign a large contract with us. They agreed to test it out for a week of traffic reports, we would send them airchecks and they would make a decision. So, Penny, my boss, asked me to make sure I got a good aircheck to send. I did the report and sent the aircheck to her. Now, the commercial was for Nova Southeastern University who was hold an open house on Nov. 10th at 6pm. Well, clear as day on my aircheck (which sounded great by the way) I say "On Nov. 10th at 10pm." Needless to say, they replied saying thanks but no thanks on the contract with my aircheck attached. OUCH! So now I have a decision to make... I have come to the conclusion that the only reason I am messing up so much is that I am working to much and am overtiring myself. So, the only way to remedy this is to quit my part time job at WAPE. Now, this job was my dream. I was so excited to get it and I have loved every second of it. I feel like a part of my soul is being crushed at the prospect of quitting. But, I can't risk my full time job for a part time one, even if It is an amazing incredible part time job that I LOVE!!! So, now I have a decision to make... and I am pretty sure of the outcome. I will be back down to one job and a little less happy. I don't know yet since I am just starting to type it. So, read at your own risk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went today to the special screening of the movie with the radio station today. I was really excited. I went with Coty White's daughter Alexis. She is an amazing little girl. I was glad she wanted to go. We got there over an hour early and barely got a seat. They had a section reserved for the station employees but I didn't like where it was so I found one I liked better. After I got comfortable, it was time to watch the movie. If you're a Harry Potter purist who thinks that the movies should be a word by word adaptation of the books, you will be disappointed in this one. Obviously with a book a long as this a lot was taken out. Most of the Quiddich world cup, S.P.E.W., and a couple of other smaller story lines. Also, some things were left in but put in a different place, like the dreams that Harry has at the beginning. He still dreams, he just does it at the Weasley's instead of the Dursley's. Over all it was a great movie.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The special affects were awesome. Voldemort is FRIGHTENING!!!! He is the second creepiest thing I have seen recently in a movie. I think Gollum from Lord of the Rings is a little grosser, but not much.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The scenery in this movie is great, particularly the Yule Ball.  It's a beautiful winter wonderland. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love Ron in this one. Rupert Grint does a great job making us love him even more, and the comic relief he adds is great. Not that he is just the funny sidekick, but he has some great one liners. Hermione also has a couple of really funny lines. My favorite it when Ron says "Hermione, you're a girl..." Her response "Well Spotted Ron." LOL the comedic timing is great. Oh, and I LOVE the scene with Moaning Myrtle in the prefects bathroom with Harry. LOL. Do ghosts have hormones. CLASSIC scene. Overall by far the best movie yet. I get to go see the early screening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  I can't wait.  I am kinda weird in how much I like Harry Potter. LOL.  It's Sunday at 2 so sometime after that I will post a review.  It was my favorite book so the movie has a lot to live up to in my eyes.  Plus it's the first one with a new director. I have been thinking about how I am going to write this, and decided I will start with a basic explanation of Poly cystic ovarian Syndrome, then moving onto the diet that I am required to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PCOS is the most common endocrine disorder in women. About 1 in 10 women have it. The bigger problem is that it is very commonly misdiagnosed, or ignored by most doctors. Symptoms of it include:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;infertility or inability to get pregnant because of not ovulating &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;increased growth of hair on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;acne, oily skin, or dandruff&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;pelvic pain &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the wa&lt;/strong&gt;ist &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;type 2 diabetes &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;high cholesterol&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;high blood pressure&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;male-pattern baldness or thinning hair&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thi&lt;/strong&gt;ghs &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;sleep apnea―excessive snoring and breathing stops at times while asleep &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;depression&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;increased testosterone&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just as a refrence, the bolded symptoms are the ones that I have. (I don't know about infertility cause I am not trying to get pregnant) I don't have type 2 diabetes, but I do have Insulin Resistance. Which leads to type 2 diabetes. By looking at the symptoms you can see why it is often misdiagnosed.  First of all, most of the symptoms are things that women wouldn't think of complaining about to their doctor, like hair in the wrong places or dandruff.  I didn't  tell my Dr until he asked.  Many women with PCOS are overweight, (it is much harder to lose weight with PCOS then without it) and many of the symptoms are also symptoms of just being overweight. Such as diabetes, high colersterol, high blood pressure. So, many doctors say "You need to lose weight" but what they don't take into account are the hormonal causes of being overweight and the need to regulate those hormones before a women with PCOS can lose weight. This leads to many diets failing even though you can be doing everything right. Which in most cases causes women to feel very bad about themselves. You'll notice that one of the symptoms of PCOS is depression, so this only increases the probolem. There are many cases of women actually asking the doctor if PCOS is a possibility and the doctors saying no, because the doctor doesn't know enough about the diease to diagnose it. If you have the symptoms, even if you have been told before that you don't have it I recommend sitting down with a doctor that specializes in PCOS and reproduction. You can go to &lt;a href="http://www.soulcysters.com"&gt;www.soulcysters.com&lt;/a&gt; for a lot of good info about it and Dr. reccomendations. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ok, so I have been diagnosed with it by a wonderful doctor. He perscribed glucaphage for my insulin resistance. And Eulexin for the hormonal problems. I am also on birth control to regulate my periods. Now, one of the problems with glucaphage is that it doesn't like carbs. So, the more carbs you eat, the sicker you get. For several years my doctor recommended a low carb diet. Less then 100 carbs per day MAX. With a recomendation of less then 50 carbs per day to avoid becoming sick. I did well on that for a while, but it got old quick.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Well, I am now on what's called the insulin resistance diet. It's basicly a balence of carbs and protein. In general, you can have up to 30 carbs per meal/snack as long as they are balenced with at least 15 proteins per meal/snack. You eat smaller meals more often about every 2 or 3 hours. This is a normal days meal plan for me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Up around 9:30 or 10:00 and eat an english muffen or 2 pieces of toast with an egg and some sausage or bacon&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;around 12:30 I'll eat a snack of some type of fruit with some cheese or beef jerky.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;around 2 I eat a lunchable or an individual package of tuna... you know the kind that comes with the crackers and reslish and stuff&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;around 5 or 6 I'll have some chips or maybe a candy bar out of the snack machine with some milk. (milk counts as a protien and the carbs in it don't count.. lol)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;around 8 or 9 I'll have small portion of whatever my mom cooks for dinner (gotta love free food) Making sure that whatever it is is balenced.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;then if I am still up around 2 or 3 in the morning (which I usually am especially if I have to work) I'll have another healthy snack of fruit with some milk or cheese or nuts or something like that.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and basicly that's my day. The great thing about this diet is I can have things like potatos, fruit, and rice. Just in moderation and with the correct protein to balence it. It's also about eating carbs, it's about eating the right carbs. Whole grains and such are much better then refined grains. So, we'll see how it works out... The question?  How do we shelter our children from the world while still allowing them to be the "salt and the light" of the world?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't have any children myself, but I think it's a proven fact that people without kids know sooo much more about how to raise them the the people that do have them so I should be an expert here... lol&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; I think that it depends on the ages of the children.  Young Children pre-school age, should be sheltered.  There's plenty of time for them to impact the world.  Don't expose them to it.  Just train them up the way they should go and they will be a living example of Jesus.  Even if they don't realize they are doing it.  To them they are just doing what they are supposed to.  By not talking back, and pitching temper tantrums, and being polite with pleases and thank yous.  They are doing their part.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As they get older begin allowing them to do small things to be good examples.  Things like collecting money for a charity or helping a neighbor with tasks that are age appropriate.   They can learn about poor people and old people and such.  Without actually seeing people who are homeless or dying.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When they reach an age where they understand the world a little more.  i.e. as a teen or preteen. (11 or 12ish) They then can begin doing things like volenteering at a homeless shelter, possibly going on missions trips and those things.  By this time, they should be grounded enough in what you taught them that they can be in these situations without becoming part of them.   They get a much deeper understanding of poverty and those that don't believe. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During this time I think it's really important that you let your children come to you with any questions.  That way when something comes up in their group of friends, such as drugs and stuff they know that you will help them if they need it.  Also, when you teach them about drugs, beer and sex and why it is bad, also teach them how to say no and influence their friends to do the same. I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll start at the beginning and work my way through the week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last Saturday I got to spend the day with Julie. That was a blast. We went to the Southern Women's Show to see Mario Lopez. I wanted to get a picture with him... but while we were hanging out around the WAPE booth they said that he was only going to sign autographs for 30 mins. Now, at this time there's at least an hours worth of people in line and he's still on stage doing the Q and A. So, ALOT of people were still over there. I decided to get a couple of pics of him by himself so I didn't start a riot when I jumped line. LOL. It was tons of fun. Then Julie and I went to Longhorn for dinner. We talked a lot and she showed me her cute waiter. While we are eating dessert he walks by as Julie is saying "This is so good" then when she sees him in a very prim voice she says "But I'm all done" as she puts her fork down mid bite. LOL the funniest thing in the world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then on Sunday I went to Nimnicht Chevrolet to look at cars. I found the PERFECT car for me. It's a white Chevy cobalt, with tinted windows and a sun roof. It has upgraded pioneer speakers and an 8 in sub in the back. It is absolutely perfect. I LOVE IT!!!! Funny story, Monday morning I am driving home from work at 5:30 in the morning. I hear this really loud deep bass as I stop at a stop light. I'm like, who would have their bass up that loud this time in the morning... Then I realize it's me. LOL. I'm just not used to having it. Hehe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then on Thursday, the best day of my life. I got to meet the click five. They are awesome. Mark and I planned on meeting at the station then heading over to Orange Park High School where they were going to have the concert. Well, when I got here Mark told me that they were coming in for an interview... So of course I had to stay and hang out. They came in for the interview and all of them came over to me to shake my had and introduce themselves. Now, when I met 3 doors down they were not nearly as nice. They did the interview and then Chase played their new single, "Catch your wave" He always turns down the song after he talks it up and they're all like "No turn it back up" Then Ethan says "Guess what guys, this is on the radio" It was the first time they had ever heard their new single on the radio. How cool was that. Then it's time to cut promos and guess who has to show them to Matt Ray's (the production guy) Studio? That's right ME!!!!! Eric has to go potty, so I point out the restroom on the way then when he comes out I walk with him to the studio. So then we go to the concert. It was great. We talk for a couple of mins and he asks what I do at the station, I said I do weekends and I do traffic with Chase. So he gets all excited and says "Oh my gosh, your Wendi. I have heard so much about you. I listen to you all the time" and he gave me a hug. It was sooo funny. After the show, Chase, Mark, Ashley (Chase's Girlfriend) Johnny, and Rod (Johnny's boyfriend) went to dinner at the Cheescake factory. It was lots of fun. Anyway, a ton of fun things happened this week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And the best most exciting fun thing? Normally when my dog has to use the bathroom I just let him out in the back yard. But since I am trying to lose weight I decided to take her for actual walks now. So yesterday we took a nice walk around the block with my 5 year old cousin, about half a mile or so with no pain or anything. So today I decided we could both walk longer. Yeah, I walked for about 2 and a half miles and I am in SOOOOOO much pain. My legs felt fine when I was walking... Now, I can barely stand. The biggest problem with that is that I can't run the board at the radio station when I am sitting down cause I am short. So... Life sucks right now. LOL. And I am reworking my website. I'm in a mood this weekend, think I'm getting sick which stinks... but beyond that I was reading a blog with was very interesting and it got me to write. It's written by a Muslim girl in Denver. She came to the US in 1999 or 2000 I think. If you want to find out more about the daily life of a Muslim girl check it out... &lt;a href="http://sabrofaurora.blogspot.com/"&gt;http://sabrofaurora.blogspot.com/&lt;/a&gt; But I read some of the newer entries and thought how good it was to read and decided I would read some of the first entries. Now, I understand she is Muslim and that she may not like the fact that Muslims are dieing in Iraq. But.. SHE MOVED TO THE US! We didn't make her come here. In 2004 when the Presidant was reelected, the comments that she wants to commit suicide because there are so many stupid Americans to reelect this president. But that he isn't worth losing a life over. Is she being forced to stay in this country? Is she being held here by chains? No, she chose to immigrate here (which she is more then welcome to do) but don't come over here, live in MY country and talk about how Stupid americans are. If we are so horrable, go away. I'm not trying to start anything here... I actually really enjoy learning more about her culture and daily life, and that's what great about america, there are many differant cultures here. But this is a post from her blog&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;"Anyway, I got the book, &lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1902593790/ref=wl_it_dp/103-2125085-6440666?%5Fencoding=UTF8&amp;coliid=I1WVR4ETAZGCDZ&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;v=glance&amp;colid=18GR1VAEIS9HJ"&gt;On the Justice of Roosting Chickens : Reflections on the Consequences of U.S. Imperial Arrogance and Criminality&lt;/a&gt; by &lt;a href="http://www.colorado.edu/EthnicStudies/faculty/w_churchill.html"&gt;Ward Churchill&lt;/a&gt;. Now this is really interesting. Ward Churchill is a fearless professor at &lt;a href="http://colorado.edu/"&gt;University of Colorado&lt;/a&gt;. Fearless because he speaks his mind and doesn't care whether or not he is saying the "politically correct" stuff. He recently made national news headline because of what he wrote on his essays, which I thought was honest, candid and bold. Here is something he said about the 9/11 in his essay titled "Some People Push Back on the Justice of Roosting Chicken" :"They did not license themselves to "target innocent civilians.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"There is simply no argument to be made that the Pentagon personnel killed on September 11 fill that bill. The building and those inside comprised military targets, pure and simple. As to those in the World Trade Center . . . Well, really. Let's get a grip here, shall we? True enough, they were civilians of a sort. But innocent? Gimme a break. They formed a technocratic corps at the very heart of America's global financial empire – the "mighty engine of profit" to which the military dimension of U.S. policy has always been enslaved – and they did so both willingly and knowingly. Recourse to "ignorance" – a derivative, after all, of the word "ignore" – counts as less than an excuse among this relatively well-educated elite. To the extent that any of them were unaware of the costs and consequences to others of what they were involved in – and in many cases excelling at – it was because of their absolute refusal to see. More likely, it was because they were too busy braying, incessantly and self-importantly, into their cell phones, arranging power lunches and stock transactions, each of which translated, conveniently out of sight, mind and smelling distance, into the starved and rotting flesh of infants. He was the Chair of the Ethnic Studies Department. After stirring up much controversies by his writings, he resigned from this position. Some people (Bill Owen, the Governor) wanted him to be fired. But he was tenured! Again, at the CU-Regent meeting, there were many protesters against the Board of Regents because they were contemplating firing this guy! Interestingly enough, a lot of Muslims showed up to show support for him. A few protesters were arrested. Where does "Freedom of Speech" exist in this country?Here is another interesting quote when he tried defending his essay:* I am not a "defender"of the September 11 attacks, but simply pointing out that if U.S. foreign policy results in massive death and destruction abroad, we cannot feign innocence when some of that destruction is returned. I have never said that people "should" engage in armed attacks on the United States, but that such attacks are a natural and unavoidable consequence of unlawful U.S. policy. As Martin Luther King, quoting Robert F. Kennedy, said, "Those who make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Isn't that just a little frightening.   Reading her blog she seems very nice... but how can she make a justificaiton for someone who writes stuff like this?  I also thought it was funny how she says "Interestingly enough, a lot of Muslims showed up to show support for him."  Who did she think was going to show up supporting him.. NYC Fireman?  Maybe families of the people working at the pentagon... COME ON!!!  Anyway what's your opnion?  Am I being harsh? I love my job, but it's increadably difficult to do it when the equipment won't work.  If it's not a computer problem, then my board (how I hear and record the traffic reports) won't work.  Or my mic doesn't work... or something.  Friday I was in 3 differant Studios because I couldn't make any of them work.  ARG!!!! Today, My computer was messing up and we arn't supposed to do ANYTHING to it.  But I called and called for hte computer guy and he never came so I just fixed it myself.  I'm sure I will get in trouble for it.  But gosh, a girls gotta be able to work.. RIGHT? Anyway, enough griping for one day.  Maybe later I'll post somthing happy and good. But, here's my second post on purity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I want to start by saying I believe there are two levels of purity. The inner level of purity Gods grace gave to us when we become saved. Nothing can take that away from us. The second level of purity is what I am talking about. It more of a bodily purity, a purity above the salvation from sins that we received from God. (Having a hard time finding the right word... Above the salvation from sins does not mean that I think it is more important then the salvation from sins... It means in addition to, a purity not required for salvation but something we should do... If that doesn't make sense, please comment and I'll try to explain better)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In Oswald Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest it says, Purity is not innocence,  it is much more than that. Purity is the result of continued spiritual harmony with God. That just completely speaks to me. I mean think about it. When most people think about purity they only look at the acts that make youimpuree. It's an innocence... Not doing something. This view of purity is very short sighted. I love the definition that Oswald Chambers gives, if it's a continued spiritual harmony with God, it's more then not doing something. It's workingtowardss a goal. I love the idea of taking a passive thing like most people think of purity, you know where nothing is required of you except not doing something, and turning it into an active step. It's reading the Bible, to be closer to God. It's praying always, to be closer to God. It's living a life that you don't mind being close to God with. The more you do the things that will bring you closer to God, the more purity you obtain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am still trying to wrap my mind around this concept of purity...It'ss not one I have thoughta lott about other then "Don't have sex before you're married." and "Porn is bad" But the idea that purity is not just not doing something...It'ss actually doing something...Iss very new to me. Give me time...Maybee I'll be able to explain it better.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What's going on in my life.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ok, now on to normal stuff...What'ss going on in Wendi's life? Well, I am workinga lott. Our national headquarters for Metrotraffic is in Houston so it will make my job very difficult as all of our servers are there, and we only have enough backup power for 4 hours. Not to mention all of the people that keep that stuff up and running are evacuating. So if you're traffic isn't as good as usual, Sorry, blame it on Rita. Also, please pray for the people there. A lot of them are good people that I would hate to see something happen to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;VERY cool contest coming up on WAPE. I can't tell you what it is but you should all listen next week. And the new Harry Potter movie is coming out in Nov. (Yes I am a Christian who likes Harry Potter... sue me) I can't wait. He likes her but is kind of worried cause she's more experienced then him. Although they have only been on a few dates and are not exclusive (they both are they just won't tell each other that... LOL) they have already had "the talk" You know the one where he explains that he's a virgin and is going to stay that way, with out making her feel like a whore for not being one. He asked me today what to do because she keeps wanting to come over to his apartment, but he is afraid that if they are alone there together something might happen. My first thought was, don't date a girl who doesn't have your beliefs and morals and you won't have that problem. But, I'm not exactly an expert on dating so I told him the only thing I knew to, tell her the truth. What girl wouldn't want to hear that he likes her so much and finds her so attractive that he might not be able to control himself if she wanted to. His solution is to just keep taking her out places and meeting there or at work or anywhere that's not his or her apartment. Hey, it works. If they aren't alone they can't do anything they shouldn't right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, this conversation got me thinking. Why should we be pure? I'm not just talking about sexual purity, cause most of the people that are reading this are my friends, and they're already married. I'm talking about purity in general. Purity in what we do, what we see, what we think. Why is that important? The Bible says in Philemon 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." So, the Bible tells us to, and that's a very good reason. But, why does the Bible tell us to be pure? I am a firm believer that God didn't just put stuff in there to be mean. He had a purpose for every word in it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One reason God wants us to remain pure, (as in sexual purity) is because of the many many problems that comes along with sex. I have been told by almost everyone, that when you have sex, even casual sex, that there is a bond that occurs. A closeness to that person. The more people you have casual sex with, the weaker that bond becomes each time. So, who wants to have a lot of casual sex, then miss out on the special bond with the one person we love enough to marry? Not to mention the diseases, and pregnancy that can occur.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think the main reason we should strive to be pure though, is because once we see or do something that is impure, it's very hard to stop thinking about it. I mean, almost everyone has seen porn on the internet, whether we have meant to or not. Or maybe your friends buy a Play Girl mag and trick you into looking at it. (Sorry Julie) Or maybe you lied to a friend or cheated someone at work. Every time you're around the person you lied to, you remember that time. God doesn't want us to dwell on those things. He would rather we dwell on Him. So He tells us to be pure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we do what's right, think what's right, we'll spend more time thinking about Him. And lets face it, Honoring God is the greatest reason for remaining pure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I may erase some of this if the person that it's about reads it and sends me a nasty email about posting his personal conversations for all to see. I'll probably do some more blogs on Purity... Cause it's really interesting to me right now. I FINALLY got my computer up and running.  It's SUPER FAST!  It took sooo much to get it working, (mostly cause I'm kinda slow)  But now that it is... all of the hard work was worth it.   That's kinda what I was thinking about today.  How most of my life I have had stuff handed to me.  I am usually pretty good at whatever I set my mind to being good at. (Except singing... I can't wait to get to Heaven so I will have a good voice!)  But I feel like those things that I have to work the hardest for, like getting my computer working, are the things I appriciate most. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So much of our time is spent complaining about how hard something is.  Everyone always wants things to be easy.  Staples even has a commercial about the "easy button".  We all want one.  But I think that all that time we spend complaining about hard work, would be better spent thanking God for allowing us to have tribulations.  Yes, it can be hard, but if everything was easy, you would never know the satisfaction of acomplishing something.  There's a little thrill I get every time I work hard to figure out a problem and come up with a good solution.  And as frustrated as I get when I have problems. Because it's more personal then I would normally post on a public blog site. But I am actually hoping that the person who this is written about finds it one day and thinks a little. I recently read a blog of an ex friend. One who used to be my very best friend in the world. I won't go into the whole why the friendship ended thing, but basically, we just went our separate ways. She said some really hateful things about me, things that are not true, but I guess she can change the past in her mind if she wants to. Apparently her and her new best friend think it's great fun to make fun of me and other people neither of them really know on her blog. I happen to know one of the other people she wrote about very well, and she is an incredible person. I am going to take a note from Julie and use the letter A to talk about her, because unlike A I am not writing this to publicly humiliate her. Now, to A.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am sorry if you are not a happy person. In case you didn't know, my life is going pretty great right now. I am working at a job I love, doing what I have wanted to do for a long time. And I am succeeding at it. Hopefully one day your life will be as good as mine. Then maybe you won't feel the need to hurt other people. You and I both know that the only reason you wrote that is because you are an unhappy person and wanted to hurt me. Nothing else could have come from it. It served no useful purpose. Even though we are no longer friends, I still cherish the memories of stuff we did together. Apparently you don't, and that's ok. Different job this time. Now I'm at WAPE on the air. It's a great job. But I think I have said that in every single one of my posts. Is anyone else seeing a pattern? LOL. On to more important things.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;So I've been really convicted lately that I haven't been attending church regularly. I tell myself that I'm just not comfortable at any of the ones I have been visiting, and I work overnights on the weekends so that makes it really difficult to get off work at 7 Sunday morning, then go to church. But I know that those are just excuses... And bad ones at that. I read my Bible all the time, like that will make up for not fellowshiping with other Christians, and learning from a preacher. I don't know, sometimes I think I should just go to the church that's closest to my house or the one closest to my work... I mean, we share a parking lot with a church for crying out loud... Shouldn't be too hard to make it there on Sunday... I can walk. But I find that most of the ones I visit don't follow my beliefs... Like women preachers or deacons. I just don't believe in that. Or they are too slow and boring... Or to upbeat and not worshipful enough. Or if the worship service is nice, the people aren't friendly enough, or they are too clingy. Ok ok... I know more excuses. Other then the not following my beliefs most of the other things could be overlooked. It's odd, sometimes I think that it is Satan putting those thoughts in my head to keep me from finding a place to worship, other times I think that maybe God is telling me that's not where he wants me. It's times like these I wish I had a husband... Not because I particularly want to be married right now (although I'm not opposed to the idea) I just want someone to tell me what to do. I want someone to make the choice for me.  I know the only one who can make that choice for me is God, so I just pray that He will show me where He wants me to worship.   I sometimes wonder if God would rather you not worship in a church at all or worship in one that doesn't follow His commandments.  I'm guessing no church is better then one that's not Biblical.  But I could be wrong.  Who knows.   I'll have to think it over some more and pray about it some more before Sunday. And look, it's only taken me a month to do it. LOL.  I am working at the traffic center right now, and it's completly boring.  I hate paperwork.  But it's better then being unemployed.  Plus, I get to be on the air after 2 and that just rocks.  So, what's going on in my life right now... hmm. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;Went to dinner at Emma's and Ricky's last night.  It was yummy and fun.  I got to see Julie and Roy and their 5000 children.  Ok, they only have five (this week) but it seems like five thousand.  They are sweet and adorable kids so it's ok that there's a million of them.  I also got to see Keith (Emma and Ricky's son)  he's getting so big now.  I had a really great time and hope we can all get together again soon.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;I had to buy a new motherboard and processer for my computer.  P4 3.4Ghz with an MSI motherboard and 512 megs of ram.  $400 dollars.  Seemed like a good deal to me.  I could be getting ripped off cause I really didn't shop around.  Just ordered it. LOL.  We'll see.  But I am very excited about having a MUCH faster computer.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;And just so I don't put all the information in one post. (I'll have something to post about tomorrow)  here's a teaser.  I'm getting a new car.  I'll post all the details of what kind, and if this thing will let me, I'll even post a pic. I mean, I'm not really the easiest person to figure out. So I decided to start a blog. I mean everyone else has one, I'm only like 2 years behind. LOL. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;The real reason I decided to start this? I was having such a great night at work this weekend.  And I wanted to tell everyone but didn't want to do a mass email, or post it on myspace because I have some loser friends that won't join.  So this seemed to be easier, I can just post it, and whenever anyone wants to know what's up with me... they can just come check it out.  It'll probably be updated as often as my website... once in a blue moon. LOL. But back to the point.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"&gt;Both last night and tonight have just been really amazing. I LOVE my job. It's kinda funny, there's a really long story that led up to me getting this job, (I'll tell you all one day) but I am constantly amazed how much more God knows then I do. Yeah, so that would be obvious to most people, but apparently I'm a little slow.&lt;/span&gt;   So, just wanted everyone to know how much fun I am having and how much I love my job.  If your job isn't as cool as mine... HAHA... if yours is cooler, that means your Chase or Jay. LOL.  Well, Julie's kinda rocks to cause she's a mommy.
